The Institute on Disabilities at Temple University, Values into Action-PA, the Mental Health Association of Southeastern PA and Philadelphia Coordinated Health Care are collaborating to create a Supports Broker/Recovery Coach Network.    The network is a way for Supports Brokers and Recovery Coaches to share resources and brainstorm around issues they face in supporting people.  The network also offers resources for continuing educational opportunities and technical assistance.

People directing their own services who want to use a Supports Broker can use an agency like Values Into Action-PA that is a Supports Brokerage or they can employ their own independent Supports Broker directly.  Recovery Coaching is billable as a Certified Peer Specialist (CPS) service under Medical Assistance for people who have a mental health diagnosis.  Recovery Coaches work for local mental health providers.  Both these independent Support Brokers and Recovery Coaches will have access to the Support Broker Network activities.

If you are an Independent Supports Broker interested in joining the Network or are interested in working as a Broker through the Supports Brokerage at Values Into Action-PA, contact Marian Frattarola-Sauline, Brokerage Director, Values Into Action-PA,, 610-565-5177 ext. 14.

If you are a Recovery Coach interested in Self-Directed Care and joining the Network, contact Erme Maula, Director Consumer Recovery Investment Fund project (CRIF),, 267-507-3873.
